In general, when the temperature in winter reaches minus zero, in order to prevent frost cracking cylinders, water tanks and other parts, the water in the tractor water tank should be drained, and this draining is very particular.

1. Do not rush to release water after the end of the operating season. The temperature in winter is low, and the outdoor temperature is generally around 0 degrees. If the cooling water is discharged after the flame is turned off, the temperature of the body is as high as about 90 degrees, the temperature difference with the outside is large, and the cooling speed is fast, which is easy to cause the water tank, engine parts, cylinder head, etc. At this time, the engine should be run at idle speed for 5-6 minutes, and the temperature of the standby body should be reduced to 50-60 degrees before draining.

2. Pay attention to observe the water when releasing water. If the tractor is used for a long time, scale impurities can easily exist in the water discharge switch, causing the switch to block and prevent the cooling water from being exhausted, thus causing the engine to freeze and crack. Therefore, the operator should carefully observe the water discharge situation. If the water flow is not smooth, the water discharge switch should be unblocked. Let all the cooling water in the body be discharged.

3. After draining the water, turn the crankshaft several times to drain the water. Large and medium-sized tractors often cannot drain the cooling water in the water tank when the water drain switch is turned on, and some of the cooling water remains in the water channel, and there is still the possibility of freezing the body. Therefore, after the cooling water in the water tank is discharged in winter, the crankshaft should be turned several times in order to drain the water in the water channel.

4. Don't add fire until the operation is started. After the tractor starts, the engine temperature rises sharply, and the temperature of the combustion chamber can reach more than 1,000 degrees instantaneously. Therefore, if cold water is suddenly added to the water tank, it is easy to cause cracks in the body, cylinder liner, cylinder head and vortex chamber insert due to sudden cooling, and the piston and connecting rod will also be deformed. The correct method is to fill the water tank with 80 degrees hot water before starting.
